Hi, I’m Louise. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a family that truly cherished their pets and felt strongly about animal welfare.
Our home was very much a cat household, but we also shared our lives with rabbits and hamsters who were just as loved and very much part of the family.
When I moved into a place of my own, it didn’t take long before I welcomed my first pets — my two rats, Renton and Smudge, followed by Stella, a rescue hamster with a big personality in a tiny body.
As the years went on, my animal family grew alongside me. Cleo the cat joined my life, along with Lasie Lou, my beautiful rescue Lurcher who completely stole my heart.
Over the years, I’ve been blessed to share my home with some incredible dogs — our loyal Rottweiler, Zeus, our gentle Dogue de Bordeaux, Debo, and now our magnificent Cane Corso, Chop. We also have Nami, our wonderful rescue Bully, who reminds me every day why giving animals a second chance is so important.
Our home wouldn’t be complete without Tiny the tortoise, Stevie the axolotl, and our pond full of fish (far too many to name, but loved all the same!). Animals have always been at the centre of my life. They aren’t just pets to me — they are family. My passion for animal welfare, rescue, and responsible ownership continues to shape who I am.
I feel incredibly grateful to spend my life surrounded by so many amazing animals.

I established Louise’s Pets & Chips in 2018, becoming Bristol’s first Secretary of State–approved Mobile Microchip Implanter, and in 2019 becoming a Secetary of State approved Trainer & Assessor.

The safety and wellbeing of every dog in my care is always my top priority.
I continuously monitor body language, energy levels, and signs of stress or anxiety — not only in the dogs I’m walking but also in those we encounter.
This proactive approach helps prevent unwanted behaviour and ensures every walk is calm, controlled, and enjoyable.
I carefully choose quieter locations where dogs can sniff, explore, and play with minimal disruption, allowing for a more relaxed and enriching experience. Around 99% of the dogs I walk are regulars, which means I build strong, trusting relationships with both the dogs and their owners.
I pride myself on being flexible and understanding — I know life isn’t always predictable, so I always do my best to accommodate schedule changes or additional walks where possible.
My professional background and qualifications reflect my commitment to high standards of care.
I have also completed certifications in
My practical experience includes working at Langford Small Animal Referral Hospital as an Animal Care Assistant in theatre and as an Animal Nursing Assistant at Avon Lodge Vets.
I am fully insured, DBS checked, Animal First Aid trained, and Human First Aid trained — giving owners complete peace of mind that their pets are in knowledgeable, capable, and caring hands.
For me, this isn’t just a job — it’s a lifelong passion.
Every dog I walk is treated like one of my own.
